Contest Rules
Eligibility: All participating students must register online at Summer Contest.  Students must choose only one grade and it must appropriately reflect the grade level he/she is in for the 2016-2017 school year.

Categories:  There are 2 categories of winners.  One student will be designated as a winner from each category.  The first category is the student that has answered the most questions during the contest.  The second category is the student that has successfully completed the most skills during the contest.
Dates of contest:  The contest will begin July 1, 2016 at 12:01 am (CDT) and will end September 10, 2016 at 11:59 pm (CDT).

Determination of winners: Dole Academy will select the top student from each category.  Winners will be announced on September 15, 2016 on the Dole Academy Blog and Facebook. Winners will also be contacted via e-mail or phone.  Only math questions will be counted. Questions completed prior to July 1, 2016 at 12:01 am (CDT) will not be eligible. For students entering kindergarten, questions answered from the pre-K and K grade levels will be counted. For students entering grade 1, only questions from grades K and 1 will be counted. For students entering grade 2, only questions in grades 1 and 2 will be counted. For all students, eligible questions are from the math section and from the grade level a student will be entering in the school year 2016-2017 and the year before.  In the event of a tie in the first category, the student with the higher percentage of correctly answered eligible questions will win. If a second tie break is necessary, the student with the higher number of skills mastered will win. In the event of a tie in the second category, the student with the higher percentage of correctly answered eligible questions will win.  If a second tie break is needed, the student with the higher number of answered questions will win.  This contest is intended to encourage students to practice and gain confidence in their skills. Any practice that does not conform to the spirit of the contest will be eliminated at Dole Academy's discretion.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a prize?  Yes!  The two winners will each win a $25.00 Amazon gift card.
Is my first grader competing against a 10th grader?  If so, how can she win?
Great question!  Yes, all grade levels compete against each other.  However, each student can only use grade appropriate questions to compete.  Your first grade student can answer questions appropriate for Kindergarten students and questions appropriate for first grade students.  The 10th grade student though, isn't eligible to answer those questions for the contest.  The 10th grade student must answer questions appropriate for 9th grade students and questions appropriate for 10th grade students.
